Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data the Family HQ website (family-hq.app) and its launch waitlist collect, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It covers the website only. The Family HQ app will have its own privacy policy when it is released.

1. Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Timur Takabayev, a private individual who develops Family HQ (“we”, “us”).

For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to privacy@family-hq.app.

2. What we collect

If you join the launch waitlist, we store:

  • your email address;
  • the language you chose on the website, so we can write to you in that language;
  • the date and time you gave consent.

To protect the form from bots, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser when you submit it. For this check Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. We do not store this information.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested and your browser type, in order to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. We do not use this data to identify you.

The website remembers the language you choose in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

To understand how the website is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits and records the page, the referring website, the country and the type of browser and device. It does not use cookies, does not use your IP address to identify you and does not follow you across other websites. We see only totals.

We also use PostHog to see which parts of the home page are viewed and which buttons are pressed, and to show some visitors a different version of a heading so we can compare which one is clearer. Each visit gets a random identifier that exists only while the page is open: PostHog sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It never receives your email address or anything you type into the form, and we have set it not to store your IP address. This data is stored in the European Union.

We do not use advertising, tracking pixels or social media plugins, and we do not set cookies of our own. We do not collect any data about children through the website.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • Waitlist: to confirm by email that your address is on the list, to send you one notice when Family HQ becomes available, and to answer you if you write to us. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Bot check and security: to keep the form and the website free of spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Visit statistics and page tests: to see which pages and parts of a page are useful, to compare versions of a heading and to improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, how the website is used (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Who receives your data

We use the following service providers, who process data only on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): website hosting, the database that stores the waitlist, the Turnstile bot check and visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
  • PostHog, Inc. (USA), with data stored in the European Union: anonymous usage statistics of the website and page tests.
  • Resend, Inc. (USA): delivery of the sign-up confirmation, the launch email and our replies when you write to us. Resend receives only your email address and the text of those emails.

These providers may process data in the United States. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep the waitlist until Family HQ is launched and for three months after the launch, so that the launch notice can reach everyone. After that, we delete the whole list.

If you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your data earlier, we delete it within 30 days.

Anonymous visit statistics and page test results are kept for no longer than one year.

The launch email will contain a link to unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To use any of these rights, write to privacy@family-hq.app from the address you signed up with. We will answer within one month.

You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

7. Children

The website and the waitlist are meant for adults. Do not join the waitlist if you are under 18. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to privacy@family-hq.app and we will delete it.

8. Security

The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The waitlist is stored in a database that is not publicly accessible, and only the controller has access to it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the app is released. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your email address, we will tell you before it takes effect.
